About the project

Jibgirl is a subcultural editorial that follows the lives of the famed femmes of the TOO HARD crew: a collective of girls who push the envelope in terms of the progression of women in the sport. Frustratingly, women in snowboarding maintain a back-seat to their male counterparts due to how and where these riders are presented in the media. Highlighting this issue, we combined their favorite visual motifs with a considered typographic / visual language in a printed "tome" to illustrate their achievements to-date.
