About the project
For 88 Rising’s 2nd compilation record Head in the Clouds II, we travelled around the world to capture each of their artists to create a cohesive new aesthetic inspired by classic 90s Hong Kong crime films. From Chengdu to Jakarta to LA, we chased Rich Brian, Joji, NIKI, Higher Brothers, and AUGUST 08 around the world to capture new studio shots that blended 90s Hong Kong gangster films with Miami Vice.
